I was raised in Colorado, and discovered the Northwest as a psychology student at Lewis and Clark College. I went on to graduate from the MSW program at Portland State University in 1990. I have continued to be a part of the MSW program, teaching classes for over 20 years. I found my way to private practice after working in community mental health, and in schools. In addition to my work with clients, I enjoy providing supervision and consultation for social workers new to the field, and providing workshops and trainings for my mental health colleagues.
My husband and I were introduced by a professor in graduate school and are both therapists. Together we have two very adventurous adult sons. When I’m not working with clients, you are likely to find me hiking, biking, or paddle boarding. My medicine is my yoga practice. I find my way back to Colorado regularly to spend time with extended family, enjoy the Rocky Mountains, and am always in search of a grove of aspen trees.
