Anti-Racism Study Group: The Ethics of Culturally Responsive Practice
What a profound time we find ourselves in. The impact of systemic racism on individuals, families, work teams and organizations has become glaringly visible; and the need for culturally responsive mental health professionals is now unquestionable.
My colleague Shauna Adams, LCSW and I have developed a 4 session Anti-racism Study Group which will offer you an opportunity to explore the racialized stories that shape your personal perspectives and your professional practice. Together we will create an authentic, meaningful and brave space to address the trauma, ethical dilemmas and possibilities for growth in our clinical work.
Groups will meet from 8:00-10:30am on the following Fridays:
September 3rd and 17th
October 15th and 29th
Cost: $375 for the series. 10 CEUs ( 3 for ethics). Groups will be capped at the first 20 registrants.
If your agency is interested in hosting the series for employees, we are happy to talk with you about scheduling.
